Are you someone who loves nature and wishes that you could communicate better with other wild or domestic living beings? Reiki is a great tool to learn for that. Here’s my story of sending Reiki energy to call in African wild dogs.
African Painted Dogs
It was an absolute delight to spot the African wild dog pack. I’ve gone on safari in South Africa a number of times. And, I’ve been fortunate to see cheetahs and leopards and the rest of the “Big Five” animals (elephant, lion, water buffalo, rhinoceros). One alluring, yet still 
elusive, group was the African Painted Dog or simply wild dog. They need an extensive range to roam and unfortunately, they fall prey to a number of diseases. They are relatively rare. But, fortunately for me, sending Reiki Energy can call in the African wild dogs.
What’s Healing Energy
Energy healing includes a range of mind-body-spirit healing practices that directly and intentionally focus on the body’s energy systems in order to affect the human body, health, and well-being. Examples include Qigong, acupuncture, and sound healing.
Reiki Healing Energy
Reiki healing is the channeling of life force energy. In other words, the energy that gives life to people, animals, plants, and other living things. Dr. Usui discovered it while on a 21-day meditation alone on a sacred mountain. Over time, numerous forms or schools of Reiki healing evolved.
Remote Healing
Like sound and light waves, subtle energy travels through space. As in quantum, there are no time and space constraints with Reiki distance healing. Practitioners intend the healing for a specific individual, animal, place, or thing. Distance healing works fast and much faster than a “hands-on” treatment.
Talking With Animals Through Energy
Over my nearly 20 years of experience practicing Reiki, I became accustomed to offering Reiki to animals, mostly pets, but also those who frequent my neighborhood and the natural areas I visit. I say offer because animals have agency just like people. They may take a moment to establish trust. But usually, they then keenly accept the invitation to receive it.
Because thoughts and intentions are fundamentally energy, we communicate through our common language of energy.
Calling In African Wild Dogs With Reiki Energy
Back to Africa. I was relaxing in the mid-afternoon heat. My mind wandered to the game drive my friends and I planned for the late afternoon/early evening. Which magnificent animals had I yet to see? As usual, wild dogs made the list. I thought to myself: why don’t I just call them? If they’re around I can invite them.
I began the distance healing session by offering Reiki to any wild dogs in the vicinity. Almost immediately I sensed them in my hands and with claircognizance. Shortly, I let my intentions to see them drift into our session. I expressed my admiration and wonderment of them and my love for dogs, in general. Then I asked them to meet us on the game ride this afternoon. I sensed we now had a date. It felt firm.
I told only my husband about the intended rendezvous with the pack. We boarded the open jeep, bounced out of the camp, and headed into the acacia thorn veld. We rounded an obscured corner that edged a waterhole.
As we approached the unobstructed side of the water, to my amazement and excitement, a large pack of wild dogs lay lounging and sleeping in the dissipating afternoon heat. Then they stirred, stretched, and readied themselves for evening roaming and hunting.
Everyone was delighted, binoculars and cameras glued to their faces. To our amazement, the dogs began to cautiously and intermittently slink and trot toward the jeep. They came with 15 or 20 feet of us. A couple laid down and stretched out. Others stood at attention soaking in our presence. The meeting went on for a good while. The entire time, I smiled from ear to ear. To this day, my heart flutters, and my throat opens with breath whenever I recall our encounter.
