What is Subtle Aromatherapy

I no longer offer aromatherapy services and products separately. I incorporate subtle aromatic properties into my healing sessions and occasionally create a complementary product for a client.

What is Subtle Aromatherapy?

So, what is subtle aromatherapy? Also referred to as energetic, or vibrational, it deals primarily with the energetic qualities and application of aromatic substances (e.g., essential oils and hydrosols), and how their energetic properties can affect physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health and well-being.

Subtle aromatherapy is an integrated mind-body-spirit healing practice. It is used to:

  • promote and maintain good health;
  • work on an energetic level and on energy bodies, the energy within an individual’s personal immediate internal and external space; and
  • support energy healing, meditation, and spiritual practices.

How to Learn More

Workshops and Presentations: I offer a wide range of short workshops on integrated healing for practitioners and the general public. I teach how to combine aromatherapy with other healing modalities, and how to produce your own safe, quality aromatherapy products. I also customize workshops for different audiences and topics upon request.

Written Resources:  I offer an extensive list of blog posts on aromatherapy and subtle aromatherapy as well as eBooks on subtle aromatherapy.

I attended a day of meditation and personal pathfinding at my church and Starchaser had a wonderful session on essential oils for meditation and spiritual growth. We learned about the energetic and spiritual aspects of aromatherapy and essential oils. The history was fascinating. We then got to sample different diffuser and inhaler blends. My favorite was “Dispel Fear and Walk Courageously.”

Starchaser’s (Patricia’s) introductory presentation to aromatherapy was very informative and fun. She illustrated how smell works and what parts of the brain are involved in smelling, and explained how essential oils are extracted too. Patricia presents it all so clearly and enthusiastically. What I loved, though, was the part where we got to smell different essential oils and compare how they affect us differently – where they went in the body and what memories and feelings they invoked.
