I just returned from a fantastic workshop held at Joshua Tree, California. This is a very unique and endangered national park. Why endangered? Joshua tree (Yucca brevifoliaare) seeds are dispersed mainly by the bear-sized Shasta ground sloth, which is apparently now extinct.
